Mulching
Forestry mulching is a process of clearing land of undesirable plant life and trees. Trees, brush, and even stumps are ground into a mulch by mobile machinery. The mulch is spread as evenly across the ground as possible so as to retard re-growth, stop erosion, and give an even seed bed for desirable plant life. Unlike traditional land clearing methods, damage to "keeper" trees is greatly reduced due to the process protecting the vital topsoil layer and delicate feeder roots. This is also the most economical way of clearing land. It is great for right of ways, shooting lanes, pasture reclamation, parks, walking trails, and general land clean up. Forestry mulching can also be done in weather that would not permit traditional land clearing equipment to access the property. This process is also great for survey lines and sesmic lines.
FENCING
We do agriculture, commercial, and industrial fencing. We can do steel pipe, barbed wire, no climb, chain link, and wood fencing. We can also clear the fence lines in order to in place the fence. That means less cost to our customer since we do not have to use a third party to do any clearing. We can also fix your existing fence that may be down or partially down in some areas.
DIRT WORK
We can conduct traditional land clearing methods with traditional equipment. We utilize bull dozer's, excavators, and dump trucks for a host of projects. From clearing land to industrial site preparation we can do it. We can install culverts, build driveways, build house pads, drainage work, build ponds, maintain gravel roads, and etc.
WELDING/FABRICATION
We have a full welding shop and mobile welding rig. We can fix or build from scratch anything that our customers need. Our customers can bring us the project or we can go to the project. We have certified welders that have worked in the industrial construction and oil field industries. If you can dream it then we can build it.

Louisiana is known for it's crazy and unpredictable weather. Our weather sometimes sends us floods, damaging winds, tornadoes, and hurricanes. These storms can leave a very large mess with very dangerous materials on the ground. That is where JK Contracting Services comes in. We have the equipment and know how to safely remove debris from your property. We can also safely conduct demolition operations. We can also work with insurance companies and FEMA to better help our customers.
